At Paws for Adventure, we pride ourselves on making sure everyone who spends time with us and our 4-legged crew walks away with unforgettable memories from an Alaska adventure of a lifetime. Here’s what some of our guests had to say about their experience with our dog mushing tours.

The Paws team is very invested in the sport and the dogs

Wow. One of the highlights of both my Alaskan experience and my girlfriend’s. We visited in the summer months, but still VERY good. Chase was our tour guide and he was AWESOME. You could tell he was VERY invested in the sport and the dogs at the place. The dogs were unbelievably excited to see us, smell us, lick us, and pull us on the ATV. It was unreal how excited the dogs were just to pull us. Plus, when we went, they had PUPPIES. It was amazing. Highly recommend, 10/10, I’d do it again in a heartbeat, no doubt.

They went out of their way to accommodate us!

My wife and I went to Alaska for our 20 year anniversary and ended up in Fairbanks.  We had been able while in Juneau to enjoy summer dog sledding so much that we wanted to do it one more time before going home.

We found paws for adventure on yelp and are so glad we did! They went out of their way to accommodate us last minute. We got easy instructions on how to get there only a 25 minute drive from princess riverside next to the airport and it was a scenic drive to their beautiful property.

Upon arriving we met Chase who is a professional at dog sledding and he gave us a one on one rundown of everything about racing the dogs etc. we then got to spend a bunch of time playing with the dogs and went on a nice ride.

It was so nice of them to take such good care of us and it was the icing on the cake of a spectacular trip to Alaska. Thank you Chase and paws for adventure for making our trip that much more enjoyable!

Our favorite Alaska memory

What a fun time! The dogs were great, our guide was friendly and informative, the scenery was gorgeous. Friends at home are all envious. Well worth it, and our favorite AK memory.

Love these dogs!!

Myself and my partner from Perth Australia chose Paws For Adventure after a recommendation was given and we were very happy. We did a 1 hour sled ride through the winding snowy trails. The dogs were very friendly and loved the attention and all our pats. Our guide Chris was really friendly and great with the dogs. I was even able to stand on the back and guide the sled for the last half of the trip. We both highly recommend Paws For Adventure if you are looking for a place for dog sledding.

Better than the Northern Lights!

When I met back up with others on my trip after we had each done our sled ride, one exclaimed “that was better than the Northern Lights!” The route we take on the hour ride is a magical winter wonderland. The mushers are so friendly and informative about absolutely any question you ask. I highly recommend you ride the rail with them if you have the opportunity. It was a highlight of the trip I will talk about for years.

The dogs were awesome to watch !

We booked the hour long dog sled tour and we were glad we did. I didn’t want it to end. The ride was so enjoyable and peaceful, the dogs were awesome to watch and Chase, our musher, was so informative and friendly. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Emily, and she helped us get the appropriate clothing on and were were never cold on the tour. We stopped along the way so we could take pictures, so be sure to take a camera or your phone. The scenery is so beautiful and my pictures are priceless. I cannot say enough good things about this experience, it is worth every penny!!

The ride was a lot of fun and filled with laughter

I decided to book the Short Winter Tour since I was traveling solo and unsure about whether I’d enjoy being in the chilly outdoors for hours. Well, I regret not booking a longer tour!

I was greeted immediately upon arrival and since I was dressed in proper winter gear, I was told I could go spend time with the dogs until my ride was ready. Once it was my turn, I was tucked in nicely and off we went. I had a blast with Mike the musher and his very lively team. The ride was a lot of fun and filled with laughter.

Next time, I’ll definitely take the longer tour.

One of the great Fairbanks experiences! A+++

Wonderful experience! Just a short walk from A Taste of Alaska Lodge! Awesome ride with musher Peter! The dogs were well cared for and seemed happy to be taking us for a ride. We appreciated Leslie arranging for her husband to drive us up the hill to the lodge! One of the great Fairbanks experiences! A+++

What a great experience with a knowledgeable guide

What a great experience! Knowledgeable guide. Chase made our hour trip fun, I even got to stand next to him on the sled. I would recommend this organization for anyone wanting a true Alaskan experience.

Leslie is extremely friendly and really loves her dogs

First time ever mushing or even dog sledding, Leslie made this a wonderful experience and left me wanting to do it again and again. She is extremely friendly and really loves her dogs, which is nothing but great considering what they do for her.

I cannot say near enough good stuff about this whole adventure, even though it was only one hour, it was extremely wonderful! If you are ever in Fairbanks and have a hankering for some adventure definitely check out Paws for Adventure!

I have a new found respect for mushers and sled dogs

I have a new found respect for mushers and sled dogs. They run and mush in weather below 15 degrees for days. Rich, professional musher, was our guide. He brought 10 of his Alaskan huskies. They are smaller and leaner than you would think because they are long distance runners. One of them ran in the Iditarod twice and eight in the Yukon. He cares for his dogs and don’t see them as replaceable. This was nice to see. The dogs enjoyed us giving them love and attention.

Wonderful Experience for our first time

First time ever dog sledding. Had a wonderful experience. Leslie and Chase were not only knowledgeable about dog sledding, they were just so personable and fun to talk with. They take such good care of the dogs. The dogs are happy, healthy and sociable. So glad we picked PAWS!
